AVID is preparing plans for a new configuration which will make shopping more convenient. Unlike a conventional enclosed mall, the stores would be free-standing with doors opening to the outside, making it easier to park close to a particular shop.

The change would reduce the amount of shopping space from about 880,000 square feet to about 525,000 square feet. Portions of the project may be “phased" in order to accommodate the relocation of existing tenants within the center.
