Evan Futch has an extensive range of experience in civil construction, inspection, and planning. He comes from a line of family members that have dedicated their lives to the construction industry. He started my career as a labor in site construction digging out storm structures and hand raking behind asphalt pavers. His career in this field grew over the next 12 years to become a site foreman and finish grade machine operator. He has experience in the wide range of projects to include subdivisions, Highway/County/local roads, airports, and commercial site projects just to name a few.
Zach Thornton is a results-oriented Civil Project Engineer with a proven history of implementing complex engineering solutions to support commercial and residential projects, while developing and deploying forward-thinking project management strategies to meet Client demands and complete projects within schedule and budget. A dedicated professional engineer with 10 years of experience in land development across 4 commercial industries (retail, hospitality, financial and municipal) and residential development who ensures balance of product quality, efficiency, and profitability of projects.
In May of 2020, AVID Group® was selected to be one of three approved vendors in Circle K Florida Business Unit for Civil Engineering Services. To help consolidate their supplier base of soft cost service providers Circle K began their Request for Proposal (RFP) process in December of 2019. The objective of Circle K’s RFP process was to help develop strategic partnerships, simplify and improve consistency in project due-diligence efforts, standardize the scope of work and deliverables, and reduce overall costs. AVID Group® was awarded a new contract as part of this RFP process.
Michael Costello is a Professional Civil Engineer with twenty-four years of consulting experience in the land development and redevelopment field. He has provided highly successful consulting services to numerous clients in the public and private sectors over the past 20+ years, with proven leadership skills and an ability to build rapport with clients, employees, and co-workers.
We would like to congratulate, Mr. Robert (Bob) Pierro, PE on his retirement from AVID Group®!
Bob was a dedicated employee for over 20 years and held numerous leadership roles during his tenure with AVID such as Director of Engineering, Office Manager, Head of Quality Control and Senior Project Manager.

AVID Group® has been formally awarded its first City of Tampa project for intersection work near Sligh Ave.
Manatee County
AVID Group® is one of seven firms selected for the Sarasota County Construction Management Contract. We will be teaming with Stanley Consulting on the various projects.
Hillsborough County
AVID Group® was awarded the Citrus Park Surgery Center in Hillsborough County. The project scope includes Engineering Services for a potable water line and fire line for an existing building on a 5-acre medical office development site. The project is located at Gunn Highway and Normandle Road.
Polk County
AVID Group® was awarded the Center Point Plaza Phase II Expansion in Polk County. The project scope includes planning, engineering design and permitting to provide the site infrastructure for 22,600 square feet of retail space. The project site is approximately 20 acres and is located on the corner of Brannen Road and South Florida Avenue in Polk County. Services provided include Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Traffic Engineering, Water Resources and Construction Coordination.
Manatee County
AVID Group® was awarded the Commercial Outparcel at Lakewood Ranch and SR 64 in Manatee County. The project scope includes design and permitting for a 17,300 square foot commercial retail and restaurant establishment. Services provided include construction plan preparation and permitting, traffic engineering services, design studio landscape and irrigation plans.
Hillsborough County
AVID Group® was awarded the East Park Medical Office Complex in Hillsborough County. The project scope includes planning, engineering design, and permitting to provide the site infrastructure for an approximately 8,000 to 8,500 square foot medical office. The project site is approximately 2 acres and is located on North Dale Mabry. Services provided include planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture, traffic engineering, environmental sciences, water resources, and construction coordination.
The 12th annual Golf Fore the Care tournament co-sponsored by AVID Group® and Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC was held on October 17, 2008 at Huntington Hills Golf and Country Club in Lakeland. This year over $15,800 was raised for the Hospice Foundation of America in honor of AVID team member Jayson Kmiec, who passed away in 2005 from cancer.
Hospice is a concept of medical care based upon the promise that when medical science can add no more days to a person’s life, then there should be more life added to each day. Hospice provides a comprehensive array of medical and social services designed to help patients and their families cope with the physical, emotional, spiritual and financial distress associated with terminal illness.
